eaglefit wooden pull-up bars – made in Germany from locally sourced ash wood

Our pull-up bars are natural products, handcrafted by a local wheelwright from native ash – wood from the Danube Forest and the valleys of the Swabian Jura. Each bar is unique; no two are alike.

What makes our bars different: They hang freely

Most pull-up bars are rigidly screwed to the wall. Ours hang from a central point on a rope and strap – and you’ll notice the difference with your very first pull-up.

Because the bar can move, you have to apply exactly the same amount of force with both arms. Your stronger side can no longer compensate. This balances out muscular imbalances caused by one-sided sports such as tennis or golf – or by everyday work involving a lot of sitting and one-sided lifting. At the same time, you activate your deep stabilizing muscles much more intensely because your body has to stabilize itself continuously.

The curved shape aligns every grip position optimally with the center of your body while protecting your wrists.

Why ash?

Ash has long been used for sports equipment – for parallel bars, Swedish ladders and much more – because of its toughness and bending strength. It offers the strength you expect from metal but feels significantly better: warm and grippy, even with sweaty hands.

After being felled in winter, the wood is cut into planks in the neighboring town and naturally dried – entirely without energy consumption. This fully preserves its structural properties.

Which pull-up bar is right for you?

All four models are made from the same native ash, curved, available in 60 or 100 cm, and load-bearing up to 100 kg. They differ in two respects:

BASIC or EXCLUSIVE – what’s included
The EXCLUSIVE additionally includes a length-adjustable fastening strap (41–177 cm) in black, green, orange or ruby red. The BASIC comes with a rope, optionally with carabiners. If you already have a fastening strap from an eaglefit Sling-Trainer, the BASIC is all you need – simply use your existing strap for both devices.

Oiled or untreated – the surface
The oiled version (KUNOS natural oil) is protected against moisture and sweaty hands and offers a smoother grip – ideal for regular, intensive training. The untreated version is especially grippy, provides a pure wood feel and can be treated with oil or wax yourself at any time.

How to hang it

The ends of the rope are attached with carabiners to a wall or ceiling mount (not included). For very high rooms over 350 cm or for training outdoors on a tree, we recommend our 4 m loop sling for beams and branches.

Frequently asked questions about wooden pull-up bars

What is the difference between BASIC and EXCLUSIVE?
The bar itself is identical. The EXCLUSIVE additionally includes a length-adjustable fastening strap (41–177 cm, in four colors). The BASIC comes with a rope, optionally with carabiners.

Why choose a freely hanging bar instead of a fixed bar?
Because you have to apply exactly the same amount of force with both arms. This balances out muscular imbalances and activates the deep stabilizing muscles more intensely.

Oiled or untreated – which is better?
The oiled version is protected against sweaty hands and offers a smoother grip. The untreated version is grippier and can be oiled or waxed yourself.

How much weight can the bar support?
All models can support up to 100 kg.

Which width should I choose – 60 or 100 cm?
100 cm gives you more room for wide grips. 60 cm is the more space-saving choice.

Why isn’t my bar evenly colored?
Because ash is a natural product. Darker edges and irregular grain are not defects but the result of natural drying. During the first few weeks, the wood darkens due to UV light.
