Materials used, accessories & handling

Premium ash wood

Premium ash wood has long been used for making sports equipment such as parallel bars and climbing walls due to its toughness and bending strength.
The wood is easy to maintain. A slightly damp cotton cloth is sufficient for cleaning.
Due to different light exposure, the color of the wood may change slightly.

Handling

Mounting idea for very high rooms (> 350 cm) or use on a tree (not included): eaglefit 4m sling for beams/branches

Attachment to a ceiling mount (not included): Hook the rope ends with a carabiner into a ceiling mount .

If you already own a Sling-Trainer from eaglefit, this pull-up bar is an optimal extension:
Simply order the "pull-up bar with rope" and hook the rope ends into the carabiner of the mounting strap, adjust the length individually, and you're ready to go.

Manufacturing

Pull-up bars from energy- and resource-saving production

The wood for the pull-up bars comes from the Danube forest or the valleys of the Swabian Alb.
There is enough water and nutrients for optimal and strong growth of the ash trees, which is necessary for the good static properties of the wood.

In some locations, the ash develops a brown core, resulting in particularly beautiful, color-intensive pieces.

After felling the ash trees in winter, they are cut into planks in our neighboring town and then stacked and covered for drying.

Through natural drying, the static properties remain fully intact. Additionally, no energy is consumed for drying.

Due to the longer storage of the wood exposed to sunlight, wind, and weather, slight color changes on the surface may occur.

During further processing into pull-up bars, it may happen that not all of this is removed and a darker edge remains. This is not a defect but a sign of responsible handling of raw materials and energy.

Your new pull-up bar will darken in the first weeks due to UV radiation, as the previously protected light wood is now exposed to the sun.

Besides the "brown core," a uniformly separated darker coloration of the core area by growth rings, nutrient and mineral accumulation often occurs especially in the transition from root to trunk and from trunk to crown. This can cause stronger growth and an irregular color pattern.

Another growth peculiarity is "locking." In addition to the longitudinal structure, a wave pattern forms, which is highly sought after in musical instrument making for spruce and maple.
