Meaning and Function
Training using electrical muscle stimulation (electromyostimulation), also known as EMSThis type of training, called hypnotherapy, is based on the targeted activation of striated muscles through electrical impulses. This simulates natural muscle activation. Through this activation, the muscle fibers contract without receiving a signal from the central nervous system (CNS). Normally, the commands for a contraction come from the brain. During physical exertion, these electrical impulses are sent to the muscles via nerves. Because the impulses during exercise EMSBecause the impulses from the central nervous system are so similar to those of the training, the muscle cannot distinguish the origin and a contraction occurs. d.hThe contraction command to the muscle comes via the [missing information] in the eaglefit HOME EMS The suit has integrated electrodes. EMSIn electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), rhythmic stimuli or impulses are applied to the muscles being trained, resulting in targeted contraction and relaxation. In physiotherapy, usually only individual muscles or muscle groups are trained using electrical stimuli, without additional movements or fitness exercises.
While no movements are performed alongside electrical muscle stimulation, the whole-bodyEMSTraining is combined with targeted exercises. This further improves your coordination, and the increased strength can be translated into precise movements. Moreover, this holistic training strengthens the agonist, antagonist, and stabilizing muscles, which are difficult to reach and influence with conventional training methods. This prevents muscular imbalances that can occur with one-sided training of individual large muscle groups.
Furthermore, simultaneous muscle activation can prevent or eliminate compensatory postures, thus avoiding incorrect loading. Thanks to the possibility during the EMSIncorporating additional exercises into training can lead to improvements in intra- and intermuscular coordination, as well as motor skills. Another positive effect of these additional exercises is the adaptation of tendons, ligaments, and joints to the increased muscle strength. Since no heavy weights are required for muscle contraction, this form of full-body training is very gentle on the joints.
Another advantage is the time saved compared to conventional training methods:
- Only 20-60 minutes of time per week is sufficient.
Possible positive effects of the EMS-Trainings
- Reduction of waist and abdominal circumference
- Loss of body fat
- Increased endurance and performance
- Reduction of back pain possible
- Improved endurance during back strain in everyday situations
- 15-20 minutes EMS-Training burns approximately 400-500 kcal with appropriate intensity and execution of the exercises.
- Increase in maximum performance (movement speed + force)
Possible specific effects of the EMS-Trainings
EMS and movement
- In contrast to static work methods, dynamic muscle work leads to improved blood flow and circulation of the lymphatic fluid.
- Physical activity improves the tensile strength of the tendons and the supply of nutrients to the articular cartilage.
- Tendons, ligaments and articular cartilage are strengthened; the mineral content and volume of bones increase.
- Eccentric strength training, in particular, affects connective tissue (tendons and ligaments).
- Tendon and ligament damage can be repaired more quickly through targeted activity.
- These changes make the body more resilient and protect it from injuries.
EMS and functional training
- Full body training (muscles, tendons, ligaments)
- The focus is on learning and performing the movement.
- Based on stabilizing the body and especially the core muscles
- Can be supported with various training devices (e.g. Sling-Trainer, balance pad, kettlebell, exercise ball)
EMS and sling training
- Exercises for the whole body and isolation exercises for individual muscles
- The load intensity can be adjusted by the angle to the anchor point of the Sling-TrainerIt can simply be varied.
- Training of the stabilizers using unstable ropes, which is further intensified by a pulley.
- High exercise variance thanks to the pulley system
- Small footprint
- Easy assembly and disassembly
EMS and outdoor training
- The focus is on training and exercise outdoors.
- Exercises for the whole body
- The intensity of the exercises is varied by using one's own body weight, terrain, or everyday objects.
- Additional psychological benefits of outdoor training
- Motivation through variety
The whole body EMS-Training offers the opportunity to train highly effectively and in a time-efficient manner. It therefore represents a very good way to increase strength, build muscle, and reduce fat. It allows for the generation of training stimuli that are higher than those used in conventional training methods.
For these reasons, some important conditions must be observed during training.
Training preparation
- The whole bodyEMSTraining can only be carried out in a suitable physical condition.
- Replenishing carbohydrate stores before training is important, as the large amount of muscle mass used results in a high metabolic load.
- Furthermore, increased fluid intake should be ensured before, during and after training.
Training progress
- In the first few training sessions, you should absolutely avoid overexerting yourself. Training should begin with a reduced duration (approximately 12-15 minutes) and an appropriate intensity. Subsequently, the training time should be gradually increased to 20 minutes.
- During the first 8-10 weeks, a training interval of at least 4 days should be observed. This is the only way to ensure regeneration and positive adaptation.

Settings options under “Parameters”
The parameters are already preset with initial settings. Clicking + or - allows you to adjust the parameters highlighted in black.
The following programs (“modes”) are available on the eaglefit EMS System app already pre-installed:
fitness
Please select the setting “4/2”, meaning a pulse duration of 4 seconds and a 2-second pause. Ideally, during training, you should tense the muscles for 4 seconds and relax them for 2 seconds.
This fitness program is ideally suited for building large-volume white skeletal muscles. It increases your maximum strength and promotes muscle growth. Your white skeletal muscles are best trained with 6-8 repetitions per muscle group at approximately 80% of your maximum strength. The impulses are delivered to the respective muscle group at a frequency of 85 Hz, without placing excessive stress on the joints, ligaments, or tendons with heavy training weights. The pulse depth in this program is 350 µs.
Fitness training should be combined with exercises and can be well supported, for example, with sling training or HIIT training.
Recommended training:
- Strength/weight training
- few repetitions (6-8)
- 1 set per muscle group
Metabolism/Cardiovascular System
Please select a pause time of 0 seconds for continuous pulses. The pulse duration setting is then irrelevant.
The metabolic program, which trains the red endurance muscles, can be used specifically for muscle toning. It is our classic endurance/athletic program. Activating the slow-twitch muscle tissue reduces fat and increases muscle definition. The training frequency is 7 Hz with a pulse depth of 350 µs.
This program is ideal for warming up and improving blood circulation and metabolism. Metabolic training should ideally be combined with endurance exercises such as:
- Nordic Walking
- Jog
- Ride a bike
- Exercises on cardio equipment
- yoga
- Static exercises (do not set the intensity too high)
relaxation
Please select the setting “1/1”, i.e., a pulse duration and a pause of 1 second each.
This program generates gentle muscle twitches and ensures a Muscle recovery, a faster regeneration It is also used for functional recovery after illness. At a training frequency of 100 Hz and a pulse depth of 150 µs, tension is released and the muscles are supplied with nutrients.
You can use the relaxation program for 5-10 minutes after an intense workout (with or without). EMS) or even after a strenuous day for 10-30 minutes at a moderate intensity, for example simply on the sofa.
Choose a low intensity here – the impulse should provide a soothing, massaging sensation.
Individually
Choose the settings individually according to your preferences or therapeutic recommendations.
Advanced users can freely adjust all parameters (pulse frequency, pulse depth, pulse duration, pause, and training duration) with this program. A frequency of 1-120 Hz and a pulse depth of 50-400 µs are possible.
Deep Core for deep muscles near the spine
This training program is specifically designed for the gentle yet targeted strengthening of the deep muscles close to the spine. The goal is to activate the deep stabilizing muscles in the back to relieve pressure on the intervertebral discs and provide long-term support for the spine.
Mode of action:
The program creates a smooth alternation of muscle tension and relaxation. The moderate impulses at 27 Hz primarily target the... Muscle endurance and stability improved. The comparatively long pulse duration ensures an intense yet gentle exertion, while the short breaks allow for even blood flow and regeneration.
Area of application:
- Support for back pain related to herniated discs
- Strengthening of the deep core muscles
- Prevention of poor posture and muscular imbalances
- Suitable for beginners as well as people in rehabilitation
Video training
In this program, you can have an avatar demonstrate training exercises and create a short workout plan from pre-made exercises. The unique feature is that you can choose a different frequency and pulse depth for each workout. Simply hold your finger over the desired exercise for 2-3 seconds until the preview image rises, then you can drag it to the row below and arrange it. You can also remove exercises from the row in the same way.
Fat burning
Please select the setting "4/2", meaning a pulse duration of 4 seconds and a "pause" of 2 seconds. This special program combines the benefits of the fitness and metabolism programs. During the active phase, you train at 60 Hz for maximum strength, and in the passive phase (pause phase), your endurance muscles are engaged at 7 Hz. This allows you to alternately challenge both muscle fiber types within a single program.
Explosive power
You use this program for muscle building. The special feature here is that 100% of the set impulse intensity is transmitted from second 1 (ramp=0). This setting is particularly effective for athletes with explosive movements (for example, golfers), for ball sports, or reactive sports.
Mobility
The app settings of eaglefit HOME EMS The app for mobility training is based on a special EMS-program specifically designed to support Muscle length and mobility training (Mobility) was developed. The training is designed for gentle muscle stimulation to improve the Elasticity , amplitude of movement and neuromuscular coordination to improve without putting excessive strain on the muscles.
App settings for mobility training characteristics:
- High frequency (120 Hz): This supports gentle muscle activation without strong contractions and is ideal for continuous movements and stretching exercises.
- Long pulse duration (350 µs): This allows the muscles to be reached deeply, which is particularly advantageous in muscle lengthening training and mobility exercises.
- Gentle impulse strength The intensity is individually adjustable and is chosen to create a noticeable but pleasant muscle tension – ideal for supporting mobilization without pain or exhaustion.
- Dynamic impulse patterns (anterior and posterior chain) You can activate either the front or rear chain with just one click. This way you automatically feel and activate the right muscles.
- Duration of the intervals With the default setting, you activate the selected muscle chain for 30 seconds at a time and can assume the other position during the 15-second break. You can find training ideas for muscle lengthening exercises here: https://www.eaglefit.de/blogs/news/ems-in-kombination-mit-muskellangentraining
Purpose of the hiring:
The EMS-Support during mobility exercises helps, to loosen tense muscles , To improve mobility and through the additional neuromuscular activation also the Effectiveness of the training to increase – especially in combination with targeted stretching and mobilization exercises.
Pulse depth
With "Pulse Depth" you can adjust the duration of the pulse you set under "Frequency". This value can only be configured in the "Individual" parameter. A single current pulse can last from 50 to 400 µs.
The higher this value is set, the deeper the impulse penetrates the muscle. For example, you can optimally target large muscles such as the thigh muscles, the gluteal muscles or the back muscles with a pulse depth of 350 µs.
Pulse duration
Pulse duration in seconds, adjustable from 1-40 seconds (symbolized by a green number that runs backwards during training).
Pause
Length of break during training, 0-40 seconds (symbolized by a red number running backwards).
Training
For most training programs, we recommend a duration of approximately 20 minutes per session.
Frequency
The number of impulses per second. For example, in the "Fitness" training program, the muscles are tensed and relaxed 85 times per second.
Put on and take off
the eaglefit HOME EMS. The suit is available in sizes XXS to 4XL. It is important to choose a size that fits correctly so that the electrodes are in close contact with the body. The suit can be used as both a dry suit and a wet suit. When used as a dry suit, it is worn directly against bare skin, without underwear or other (sports) clothing. The electrodes do not need to be wet; they should be placed directly on the muscles to be stimulated. This close contact with the skin ensures optimal transmission of the electrical current to the muscle.
For the drysuit's electrodes to transmit energy through your skin to your nerves and muscles, a very thin film of moisture is required. For some skin types, wearing the suit for 2-3 minutes is sufficient, while others need to warm up for 5 minutes with jumping jacks, burpees, or sit-ups before the impulse strength can be increased. If this film of moisture is lacking, you may experience an unpleasant, slight stinging sensation on the skin's surface. In this case, reduce the impulse strength for that muscle group and do a few more jumping jacks or squats before increasing the intensity. Excessive body hair or very dry skin can impair stimulation. In this case, you can lightly moisten the skin in the affected areas with a cloth or use our Electrode spray use.
The eaglefit HOME EMS The suit closes with a zipper at the back. To do this, simply close the zipper with the attached drawstring and pull the zipper towards you with your other hand at the bottom. This tightens the zipper, allowing you to easily pull it up using the drawstring. At the bottom, there is a small, square fabric patch attached to the suit with Velcro. You can remove this patch, place the zipper pull over the Velcro, and reattach the fabric patch. This prevents the drawstring from dangling during training. If the suit doesn't fit perfectly in some areas, you can find adjustments in our shop. Velcro straps Purchase additional pads for the arms and legs, or use the included hip belt for the lower back to press it against the skin in those areas as well. Alternatively, you can also wear tight-fitting clothing over the eaglefit HOME EMS Wear a suit to achieve the same effect.
After training, open the zipper and the eaglefit HOME EMS Turn the suit inside out and roll it off. Then wash the suit according to the washing instructions or hang it up on a hanger.
The training/exercises
Generally speaking: If you feel unwell, stop training immediately and consult a doctor if necessary. Never train if you are feeling unwell or are sick.
Even in case of problems or malfunctions of the eaglefit HOME EMS The training session must be aborted due to system issues. Contact the manufacturer in case of technical problems.
1. Warm-up
In front of EMSAs with any fitness training, the muscles should be prepared for the upcoming exertion. A warm-up has the following effects:
- The conductivity between electrodes and skin increases with light sweating.
- Increase in core body temperature
- Improvement of energy supply processes in the muscle
- Increased production of joint lubricant
- Increased motivation and concentration for the upcoming training session
We recommend a short endurance warm-up, for example some jumping jacks, burpees or 3-5 minutes on a stationary bike.
Here you can already set and activate weak impulses.
2. Training/Exercises
Generally, you can use the eaglefit HOME EMS Wear this suit in dry weather and perform all movements and workouts both indoors and outdoors. Let your imagination run wild. Jogging, boxing, yoga, Sling training, Functional training, HIIT, or bodyweight training are all suitable activities. However, the suit should not be worn in wet conditions (e.g., rain).
As a suggestion, the eaglefit HOME EMS The suit includes an exercise poster showing exercise options for the entire body using your own body weight.
3. Stretching
Following the exertion session, you should stretch for 2-3 minutes – possibly combined with the “relaxation” program.
Stretching has the following effects:
- Reduction of muscle tone
- Improved breakdown of metabolic products
- Improved muscle regeneration
- Promoting mobility
