Meaning and Functionality
Training with electrical muscle stimulation (electromyostimulation), also called EMS training, is based on the targeted activation of striated muscles through electrical impulses. This simulates natural muscle activation. Through this activation, muscle fibers contract without receiving a signal from the central nervous system (CNS). Normally, the commands for contraction come from the brain. During physical exertion, these electrical impulses are sent to the muscles via nerves. Because the impulses in EMS training are so similar to those from the CNS, the muscle cannot distinguish their origin, resulting in contraction, i.e., the contraction command to the muscle comes via the eaglefit HOME EMS Suit integrated electrodes. During EMS training, rhythmic stimuli or impulses act on the muscles to be trained, causing targeted contraction and relaxation. In physiotherapy, usually only individual muscles or muscle groups are trained with electrical stimuli, without performing additional movements or fitness exercises.
While no movements are performed during electrical muscle stimulation, full-body EMS training is combined with targeted exercises. This additionally trains your coordination, and the increase in strength can be translated into precise movement. Furthermore, holistic training strengthens the agonists, antagonists, and stabilizing muscles, which are difficult to reach and influence with conventional training. This prevents muscular imbalances that can occur with one-sided training of individual large muscle groups.
Furthermore, simultaneous muscle activation can prevent or correct compensatory postures, avoiding misloads. Thanks to the possibility of incorporating additional exercises during EMS training, intra- and intermuscular coordination as well as motor skills can improve. Another positive effect of the additional exercises is the adaptation of tendons, ligaments, and joints to the achieved muscle strength gains. Since heavy weights are not required for muscle contraction, this form of full-body training is very joint-friendly.
Another advantage is the time savings compared to conventional training methods:
- Only 20-60 minutes of weekly time commitment is sufficient
Possible positive effects of EMS training
- Reduction of waist and abdominal circumference
- Decrease in body fat
- Increase in endurance and performance capacity
- Reduction of back pain possible
- Improvement of endurance under back strain in everyday situations
- 15-20 minutes of EMS training burns about 400-500 kcal with appropriate intensity and exercise execution
- Increase in maximum performance (movement speed + strength)
Possible specific effects of EMS training
EMS and movement
- Unlike static work, dynamic muscle activity leads to improved blood flow and lymph fluid circulation
- Physical activity improves the tensile strength of tendons and the supply of joint cartilage
- Tendons, ligaments, and joint cartilage are strengthened; mineral content and bone circumference increase
- Especially eccentric strength training affects connective tissue (tendons and ligaments)
- Tendon and ligament injuries can be healed faster through targeted activity
- These changes make the body more resilient and protect it from injuries
EMS and functional training
- Training of the whole body (muscles, tendons, ligaments)
- The focus is on learning and performing the movement
- Based on stabilizing the body and especially the core muscles
- Can be supported with different training equipment (e.g., Sling-Trainer, balance pad, kettlebell, gym ball)
EMS and Sling training
- Exercises for the whole body and isolation exercises for individual muscles
- The load intensity can be easily varied by the angle to the Sling-Trainer's anchor point
- Training of stabilizers through unstable grip ropes, which is further intensified by a pulley
- High exercise variety through the pulley
- Low space requirement
- Easy setup and takedown
EMS and outdoor training
- Focus is on training and movement outdoors
- Exercises for the whole body
- Exercise intensity is varied by body weight, terrain, or everyday objects
- Psychological additional effects from training outdoors
- Motivation through variety
Full-body EMS training offers the opportunity to train highly effectively and time-efficiently. It is therefore a very good way to increase strength, build muscle, and reduce fat. It generates stimulus intensities higher than conventional training methods
For these reasons, some important conditions must be observed during training
Training preparation
- Full-body EMS training can only be performed in appropriate physical condition
- Carbohydrate stores should be replenished before training, as the very large muscle mass involved causes high metabolic demand
- Also, ensure increased fluid intake before, during, and after training
Training progress
- In the first training sessions, do not overexert yourself. Training should be done with reduced duration (about 12-15 minutes) and appropriate intensity. Afterwards, gradually increase training time to 20 minutes
- In the first 8-10 weeks, maintain a training interval of at least 4 days. Only this ensures regeneration and positive adaptation

First Use of the HOME Box and the App
Charging the HOME Box
Before you can start training, please download and install the eaglefit EMS System App from your app store by searching for “eaglefit” or “eaglefit EMS System“.
Before first use, you must charge the battery of the HOME EMS Box for at least 3 hours. Our batteries have overcharge protection, so you cannot “overcharge” them. Use the supplied USB cable and the 220V power adapter for charging. During charging, the indicator on the HOME EMS Box lights up blue. When the battery is fully charged, the indicator lights up green.
Download the eaglefit EMS System App from your app store:
First Start
When starting the app, you can initially choose between the EMS BELT, HOME EMS, PRO EMS, and CONNECT EMS. If you are using the app for the first time, create a profile for training. Under “Select Profile” you can save all your settings later.

If you have already created profiles, they will be displayed. Select an already saved profile or add a new profile under which you can save the settings (impulse strength per muscle, etc.) later on.
The app is designed to always save the last set values of a training program in the profile. Therefore, the app overwrites your set values as soon as you switch the training program within a profile.
We recommend creating a separate profile for each training program so you can always set and retrieve the correct values for each program.
Once you have selected a profile, press “Confirm” to enter the training screen with the preset values of the green-highlighted profile. Your changes will be saved when you later leave this page with the "Back arrow" (top right corner).
First, please establish the Bluetooth connection to the HOME EMS Box. Turn on the charged HOME EMS Box (press a finger on the indentation for about 2 seconds) and search for it in the eaglefit Connect via “Bluetooth” at the top right next to the battery indicator by clicking “Search” in the next window. Select your HOME EMS Box (e.g., “eagle_home0000”) by tapping “Connect” at the end of the line. Then you return to the training screen.
In the training screen, you can adjust the intensity of each electrode pair, turn individual electrodes on/off, and access the parameter menu with the green menu icon (bottom left with three lines).
App explanation
The app is designed so you can create as many profiles as you want on each device. Each profile stores all settings and parameters for one impulse type (Fitness/Metabolism/Relaxation/Individual/Fat Burning/HIIT/Mobility/Explosive Strength). Assign a suitable name to each profile.
The name can be, for example, “Thomas_Fitness” or “Muscle_Building.” Your data is stored only on your device in accordance with GDPR. Therefore, you need to create separate profiles on your iPhone and iPad. The app saves the last used settings under the logged-in profile as soon as you leave the training screen with "Back arrow" .
Establishing the Bluetooth connection
Communication between the app and your HOME EMS Box is established once a Bluetooth connection is made.
To establish the Bluetooth connection, please tap “bluetooth” at the top right during first use.
In the next view, select “Search.”
You will receive a list of nearby available Bluetooth devices.
Please select “eagle_home000” to connect to the HOME EMS Box.

Requirements for a Bluetooth connection

Settings under “Parameters”
The parameters are already preset with default settings. If you click + or –, you can vary the parameters highlighted in black.
The following programs (“modes”) are already preinstalled on the eaglefit EMS System App:
Fitness
Please select the setting “4/2,” meaning a pulse duration of 4 seconds and 2 seconds rest. Ideally, you contract the muscles for 4 seconds during training and relax them for 2 seconds.
The fitness program is optimal for building large-volume white skeletal muscle. It increases your maximum strength and promotes muscle growth. Your white skeletal muscle is best trained with 6-8 repetitions per muscle group at about 80% of maximum strength. The impulses are applied to the respective muscle group at a frequency of 85 Hz without stressing joints, ligaments, or tendons with heavy training weights. The pulse width in this program is 350 µs.
Fitness training should be combined with exercises and can be well supported, for example, with sling training or HIIT training.
Recommended training:
- Strength/weight training
- few repetitions (6-8)
- 1 set per muscle group
Metabolism/Cardiovascular
Please select a rest time of 0 seconds for continuous pulse. The pulse duration setting then does not matter.
The metabolic program that trains the red endurance muscles can be specifically used for muscle toning. It is our classic endurance/athletics program. The activation of slow-twitch muscle tissue burns fat and increases muscle definition. The training frequency is 7 Hz with a pulse width of 350 µs.
This program is ideal for warming up and improving blood circulation and metabolism. Metabolic training should ideally be combined with endurance exercises such as:
- Nordic Walking
- Jogging
- Cycling
- Exercises on cardio machines
- Yoga
- Static exercises (do not set intensity too high)
Relaxation
Please select the setting “1/1”, meaning a pulse duration and a pause of 1 second each.
This program produces gentle muscle twitches and promotes muscle recovery, faster regeneration and is also used for functional restoration after illnesses. At a training frequency of 100 Hz and a pulse depth of 150 µs, tension is released and muscles are supplied with nutrients.
You can use the relaxation program for 5-10 minutes after an intense workout (with or without EMS) or after a tiring day for 10-30 minutes at a moderate intensity, for example simply on the sofa.
Choose a low intensity here – the impulse should provide a pleasant, massaging sensation.
Individual
Choose the settings individually according to your preferences or therapeutic recommendations.
Advanced users can freely adjust all parameters (pulse frequency, pulse depth, pulse duration, pause, and training duration) with this program. Frequencies from 1-120 Hz and pulse depths from 50 – 400 µs are possible here.
Deep Core for deep muscles near the spine
This training program is specially designed for gentle but targeted strengthening of the deep muscles near the spine. The goal is to activate the deep stabilizing muscles in the back to relieve the discs and support the spine in the long term.
Mode of action:
The program creates a consistent alternation of muscle tension and relaxation. The moderate impulses at 27 Hz primarily improve muscle endurance and stability. The comparatively long pulse duration ensures an intense yet gentle load, while the short breaks allow for even blood circulation and regeneration.
Application area:
- Support for back pain related to disc problems
- Strengthening of the deep core muscles
- Prevention of poor posture and muscular imbalances
- Suitable for beginners as well as for people in rehabilitation
Video training
In this program, you can have training exercises demonstrated by an avatar and create a small training plan from pre-made exercises. The special feature is that you can choose a different frequency and impulse depth for each training. Simply hold your finger over the desired exercise for 2-3 seconds until the preview image lifts, then you can drag it into the row below and arrange it. You can also remove exercises from the row in the same way.
fat burning
Please select the “4 / 2” setting, meaning a pulse duration of 4 seconds and a “pause” of 2 seconds. In this special program, you combine the benefits of the fitness and metabolism programs. During the active phase, you train with 60 Hz for maximum strength, and during the passive phase (pause), the endurance muscles are stimulated with 7 Hz. This way, you alternately challenge both muscle fiber types in one program.
explosive strength
Use this program for muscle building. The special feature here is that 100% of the set impulse intensity is delivered from second 1 (ramp=0). This setting is especially effective for athletes with explosive movements (e.g., golf), ball sports, or reactive sports.
mobility
The app setting for eaglefit HOME EMS The app for mobility training is based on a special EMS program specifically designed to support muscle length and mobility training (Mobility) was developed. The training is designed for gentle muscle stimulation to improve flexibility , range of motion and neuromuscular coordination to improve without excessively straining the muscles.
Characteristics of the app setting for mobility training:
- High frequency (120 Hz): This supports gentle muscle activation without strong contractions and is ideal for sustained movements and stretching exercises.
- Long impulse duration (350 µs): This reaches deep into the muscles, which is especially beneficial for muscle length training and mobility exercises.
- Gentle impulse strength : The intensity is individually adjustable and chosen to create a noticeable but pleasant muscle tension – ideal to support mobilization without pain or exhaustion.
- Dynamic impulse patterns (front and back chain) : You can optionally activate the front or back chain with just one click. This way, you automatically feel and activate the right muscles.
- Duration of intervals : With this preset, you activate the selected muscle chain for 30 seconds each and can take the other position during the 15-second break. Training ideas for muscle length training
Purpose of the setting:
EMS support during mobility exercises helps, loosen tense muscles , improve mobility and through the additional neuromuscular activation also the Effectiveness of the training to increase – especially in combination with targeted stretching and mobilization exercises.
Pulse depth
With “pulse depth,” you can set how long the impulse you set under “frequency” lasts. This value can only be configured in the “Individual” parameter. A single electrical impulse can last 50-400 µs.
The higher this value is set, the deeper the impulse penetrates the muscle. For example, you can optimally target large muscles such as the thigh muscles, gluteal muscles, or back muscles with a pulse depth of 350 µs.
Pulse duration
Duration of the impulse in seconds, adjustable from 1-40 seconds (indicated by a green number counting down during training).
Pause
Length of the break during training, 0-40 seconds (indicated by a red number counting down).
Training
For most training programs, we recommend a duration of about 20 minutes per session.
Frequency
The number of impulses per second. For example, in the training program “Fitness,” the muscles contract and relax 85 times per second.
Putting on & taking off
The eaglefit HOME EMS Suit is available in sizes XXS to 4XL. It is important to choose a perfectly fitting size so that the electrodes lie close to the body. The Suit can be used as both a dry and a wet Suit. When used as a dry Suit, it is worn directly on bare skin, without underwear or other (sports) clothing. The electrodes do not need to be wetted; they should be placed directly on the muscles to be stimulated. Due to the close contact with the skin, optimal transmission of the current to the muscle is ensured.
For the electrodes of the dry Suit to transmit energy through your skin to your nerves and muscles, a very thin moisture film is required. For some skin types, it is enough to wear the Suit for 2-3 minutes, while other skin types need to warm up for 5 minutes with jumping jacks, burpees, or sit-ups before the impulse strength can be increased. If the moisture film is missing, you may feel an unpleasant, slight stinging on the skin surface. In this case, reduce the impulse strength on that muscle group and do some more jumping jacks or squats before increasing the intensity. With heavy body hair or very dry skin, stimulation may be impaired. In this case, you can lightly moisten the skin in the affected areas with a cloth or use our electrode spray.
The eaglefit HOME EMS Suit is closed with the zipper on the back. Simply close the zipper using the attached cord and pull it up with the other hand at the bottom end of the zipper. This tightens the zipper and allows you to easily pull it up by the cord. At the bottom end, there is a small, square fabric patch attached to the suit with a Velcro fastener. You can remove this, place the zipper cord over the Velcro, and reattach the fabric patch. This prevents the cord from dangling during training. If the suit does not fit well in some areas, you can purchase Velcro straps for the arms and legs in our shop or use the supplied hip belt for the lower back to press it against the skin in those areas. Alternatively, you can wear tight-fitting clothing over the eaglefit HOME EMS Suit to achieve the same effect.
After training, open the zipper and the eaglefit Roll the HOME EMS Suit inside out to remove it. Then wash the suit according to the washing instructions or hang it on a clothes hanger.
The training/exercises
General rule: If you feel unwell, the training must be stopped immediately and a doctor consulted if necessary. Never train if you feel unwell or are sick.
Also in case of problems or malfunctions of the eaglefit HOME EMS Systems must stop the training. Contact the manufacturer in case of technical malfunctions.
1. Warming up
Before an EMS training session – as with any fitness training – the muscles should be prepared for the upcoming load. Warming up leads to the following effects:
- The conductivity between electrodes and skin increases with light sweating
- Increase in core body temperature
- Improvement of energy supply processes in the muscle
- Increased production of joint lubricant
- Increase in motivation and concentration on the upcoming training
We recommend a short endurance session to warm up, for example some jumping jacks, burpees, or 3-5 minutes on a stationary bike.
Here you can already set and activate weak impulses.
2. Training/Exercises
In general, you can perform all movements and workouts with the eaglefit HOME EMS Suit in dry weather both indoors and outdoors. Your imagination is the only limit. Jogging, boxing, yoga, training with Sling-Trainer, functional training, HIIT, or training with your own body weight. Only moisture (e.g., rain) should be avoided with the suit.
As a suggestion, the eaglefit The HOME EMS Suit includes an exercise poster showing exercise options for the entire body using your own body weight.
3. Stretching
After the workout session, you should stretch for 2-3 minutes – possibly combined with the “Relaxation” program.
Stretching has the following effects:
- Reduction of muscle tone
- Improved breakdown of metabolic products
- Improved muscle regeneration
- Promotion of mobility
Washing and hygiene instructions
Before you eaglefit When washing the HOME EMS Suit, please remove the HOME EMS Box.
Proceed as follows:
1. Open the Velcro fastener:

2. Pull the box upwards:

3. Remove the box:

Clean the HOME EMS Box only with a soft cloth.
We recommend for the eaglefit HOME EMS Suit hand wash. Alternatively, you can wash the suit in a laundry bag in the washing machine on a gentle/delicate cycle at 30 °C. Before washing, please remove the box and be sure to close the zipper and all Velcro fasteners.
We recommend using the Lavendelkraft detergent. Be sure never to use caustic solvents/abrasives, sports detergents, disinfectants, water softeners such as Calgon, or detergents with additives like chlorine or bleach. If the suit is still too wet after washing, you can spin it at a maximum of 900 rpm in the spin cycle. To dry, simply hang the suit on a hanger and let it air dry – preferably with the electrode pairs facing outward. Never dry the eaglefit HOME EMS Suit in a tumble dryer and never expose it to direct UV radiation. This can cause damage to the material.
The following washing symbols can be found on the eaglefit HOME EMS Suit and should be observed:
